T-Shirt Empire is owned and operated by Carl Joseph Paola in New South Wales, Australia (“we”, “us”). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and the details of what you bought.
  • When you create an account: your login details and order history.
  • When you contact us: your name, email and anything you tell us.
  • When you browse: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies (see below).

We do not see or store your card details. Payments are processed securely by PayPal.

Why we collect it

  • To process, print, ship and support your order.
  • To send order confirmations, shipping updates and replies to your enquiries.
  • To run and secure the website, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we won’t send you marketing emails unless you’ve asked to receive them.

Who we share it with

We only share what’s needed to fulfil your order:

  • Our print and fulfilment partner (Gelato), which prints your tee and arranges delivery — they receive your name, delivery address, phone number and order details.
  • Delivery carriers, to get your parcel to you.
  • PayPal, to process your payment.
  • Our web host and IT providers, who store the website and its data.
  • Government authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia (for example in Europe or the United States). We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies to keep your cart and login working, remember your preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.

How we protect and keep it

Your information is stored on secure servers, and the site uses SSL encryption. We keep order records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally 5–7 years), then delete or de-identify them.

Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update your details in My account, or email us to request a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please email us first and we’ll do our best to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
